Things to keep in mind before purchasing makeup
- Choose products according to skin type. If you have sensitive skin, avoid artificial fragrance , parabens and alcohol.
- Choose products according to skin tone. Very important to know your skin undertone when buying foundation and concealer.
- Choose products that suit your need of skin coverage like light medium and full.
- Check staying power especially in face makeup. The longer it stays the better is the outcome.

I’ve used lakme and maybelline but sugar cosmetics is new to me. Now a days, I just use an eyeliner and lipstick. Your tips on buying make up products are useful. Knowing your Skin type and tone are really important to buying the right cosmetics!
It’s so annoying when make up doesn’t last long!

I love the Lakme Insta Liner recommendation – that’s how I started out too and it took me a lot of convincing to move onto Lakme Absolute. I loved my little bottle and would carry it everywhere. For a beginner, Rs. 100 is easier to shell out than 400 or 500, probably why most of us take to it first 😀
